At Localize, we are committed to the responsible, secure, and transparent use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our AI practices prioritize customer privacy, data protection, and third-party security oversight.
Customer Data Protection
Localize does not use customer data to train or fine-tune internal or third-party AI models. We do not host or train our own AI models. Localize restricts AI requests to providers that do not use submitted customer data for model training.
Customer data submitted for AI processing is used to provide the requested functionality, subject to applicable third-party data processing and retention policies.
Third-Party AI Risk Management
Localize utilizes an AI subprocessor that manages routing to downstream AI model providers. The service providers are subject vendor assessments, security due diligence, supply-chain risk management, and periodic reviews of third-party services. Model providers are responsible for their respective infrastructure security, access controls, data handling, retention, secure development practices, and operational safeguards.
AI Governance & Oversight
Localize's AI governance focuses on the selection, configuration, and oversight of approved third-party AI services. AI-related vendor risks are reviewed by Localize policies, including periodic security reviews and assessments of material changes.
Responsible AI Usage
Localize promotes responsible AI practices, including transparency, reliability, accountability, and data privacy. AI services are used to support customer-requested functionality, with appropriate technical safeguards and oversight consistent with Localize's existing security program.
